I have an Irish passport, but was rejected. I want to stay in Crete (Greece). I wonder if I should have a passport (current) travel to another EU country or just the ID card be enough?

You need some form of photo ID recognition, some countries have identity cards, some have a passport. In Ireland we have a passport. Ergo, you need your passport.

And if you hurry, you have the money and the completed form, you can go to your local post office and there paid, and you have your new passport next week.

I knew it was a map of the Irish national identity. You will need a passport to travel to another EU country. While there is full freedom of movement between all EU countries for EU citizens, the passport will be required to prove that you are an EU citizen.

An official statement is in order. Driver's license or something like that. But if you have a passport as proof of identity must be valid (not expired).
The people of the need for passports in the UK because there are no ID cards in the UK!
